Branch Out

Attention all adventure seekers and nature lovers!

Attention all adventure seekers and nature lovers! Are you aged 15-18?  Autistic or with other additional support needs?  Left or close to leaving school? Then our dynamic outdoors programme Branch Out could be just what you’re looking for.

Branch Out provides you with the opportunity to take part in exciting activities such as archery, crate climbs, woodland walks, shelter building, canoeing and rock climbing, helping you build friendships, and challenge yourself to achieve new and exciting goals.  Through Branch Out, you’ll develop skills, knowledge and experience in teamwork and leadership that will help you in your adult life.

Plus it’s all done outdoors, so you’ll spend time in and connecting with nature, both of which are well-known to have huge benefits on mental health and wellbeing.

As if that isn’t exciting enough, there will also be at least one opportunity for the Branch Out group to spend the night sleeping over at an outdoor centre, helping you to develop your independence.

Held at the weekend every fortnight, Branch Out will take place at the Scottish Outdoor Education Centre.

Occasionally activities may be held at other locations but families will be informed of any changes well in advance.

Our Branch Out service is currently underway and at capacity. To add your details to our notes of interest and ensure that you are informed of any future opportunities, please email R.Stabler@branchouttogether.org.

Love that Broomlee offer the activities and Branch Out Together offer the autism expertise – perfect match.”
