Administrative Assistant

 

Salary:      £11,211 - £14,241

Hours:   35 hours per week

Due to an internal staff promotion, we now have an opening for an experienced administrative assistant to join our team to provide a front of house service and general administrative support, which will include word processing, photocopying, filing, processing incoming and outgoing mail, and data collection.   You will be our first point of contact in answering and referring phone calls to the team and responding to walk-in enquiries.

 In addition, you will maintain database systems and provide information to inform reports. Attend team meetings and minute take, as required.  You will also maintain the office area and order supplies and information materials when necessary.   

You will therefore need good communication and time management skills and be competent in general office procedures and customer service skills.  Knowledge of Microsoft Office is essential.

Changing Faces - News from the LAS Office

After 2 years at Lothian Autistic Society, Felix Spittal, our Autism Information Worker, is leaving LAS on 8th August to start a new life in Inverness with his girlfriend who has secured a fantastic new job up north. Many of you will have had the pleasure of speaking to Felix during his time with us and I am sure you will agree that he has made a significant contribution to the work of LAS and is a valued and popular member of staff.

I trust therefore that you will wish to join me in thanking Felix for the tremendous efforts he has made in helping LAS achieve its intended aims and objectives. Felix, we wish you all the very best in your future endeavours and know that your enthusiasm, determination and positive attitude will bring continued success your way!
