Siblings Club

Siblings Club

Lothian Autistic Society's Siblings Club allows brothers and/or sisters living with a young family member on the Autism Spectrum, the opportunity to meet others in a similar situation in a relaxed and recreational setting. The benefits to this are that it can help reduce a sibling's sense of isolation knowing that there are others who share the special joys and challenges that they experience. The casual atmosphere and recreational activities promote informal sharing and friendships among participants.

"The Siblings Club means me and mum get to spend fun time together, which sometimes we can't do as my brother needs a lot of care and attention."

Sibling Club Membership is exclusive to siblings who must be aged 7 - 18 years and still in full time education. Members are offered access to activities free of charge, however, parents/carers must pay for their own admission, where required.

Age-appropriate events are held on the last Sunday of each month: Jan - June and August - November and include trips to ten pin bowling, Laserquest, swimming, kayaking, rock climbing, cinema etc.
